Class Outline

The Korean Beginning class is designed to help students get acquainted with Korean vowels and consonants. The lessons that deal with vowels and consonants are designed so that beginning learners can become easily accustomed to the sounds and spellings of Hangul (the Korean alphabet).

The next step will cover basic sentence patterns and simple expressions. This class introduces an array of new vocabulary with objects that students frequently see in their daily lives. Simple dialogues and descriptive texts will be used.

Instructor Background

Kyong-mi Kim has also taught at the Davis Korean Language and Culture School.
